Legacy of Stephen Covey

Picture from Wikipedia.Org

Several days after Stephen Covey, author of the bestseller, ‘The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People,’ passed away the global media published dozens of articles and analyses about his heritage and his powerful influence on management of business organizations. His impact on the global marketplace and business culture is obvious, and it’s huge. For instance, his book about 7 habits was sold globally in excess of 20 million copies in 40 languages.

I wouldn’t mention here in my blog the same statistics about Covey’s works, quotes from them, and facts of his biography. You can easily find a lot of it in the mainstream media by yourself. My purpose is just to give you some really useful links to analyses and commentaries about Covey’s legacy.

First of all I suggest to read the Douglas Martin’s article in The New York Times. If you never heard of Mr. Covey, that’s the must-read text for you.

Sure, it is worth to read articles by friends, colleagues, and acquaintances who knew Mr. Covey personally and can share some insights about his talented personality. For example, Greg Coleman published his thoughts in the Huffington Post’s blog section, Greg McKeown shared memories in his blog on Harward Business Review website, and Forbes contributor Ty Kiisel remarkably described his impressions about Mr. Covey as a person who saw him just ones.
